Founder of mentoring group wins $5,000 from local auto dealer

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- Jeff Schmitt Auto Group announced their latest Jeff's Heroes finalist, Anthony Parker.

Parker is founder of the Extraordinary Men Mentoring Group. The organization is known for mentoring youngsters, ages 5 to 15. Jay Schmitt, President of the Jeff Schmitt Auto Group, said Anthony is a positive role model who genuinely cares for the youth and he wants to give them as many opportunities as possible.

Over the last few years, according to Schmitt, the Extraordinary Men Mentoring Group has helped a new generation of leaders to invest in their future by opening them up to new experiences, life skills, and teaching them the fundamentals of how to become Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Parker is also head coach of the West Carrollton High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team.


Jeff's Heroes each receive $5,000. The grand prize winner gets a new vehicle and an additional $10,000 cash. The first finalist was Connie Carman, a para educator at Trebein Elementary School.
